Owner & Founder, Magnolia Rise Co.
Leslie Treviño Buckmaster is a school social worker with over a decade of experience supporting students, families, and school communities across child welfare and educational settings. Raised in a single-parent immigrant household as the youngest of six, she developed an early understanding of how environment shapes opportunity—an insight that continues to guide her work in schools today.
Leslie earned her B.A. in Human Development from California State University, Long Beach, and her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Her training includes PBIS, social-emotional learning (SEL), restorative practices, and Boys Town’s Teaching Social Skills in Schools, equipping her to design and deliver practical, school-based strategies that strengthen student engagement, behavior, and connection.
Her work is deeply personal. As a single mother supporting her child through social-emotional challenges and loss, Leslie has experienced firsthand the barriers families face in accessing meaningful support within school systems. This perspective informs her commitment to building environments where students feel understood, supported, and able to thrive.
Guided by both professional experience and lived insight, Leslie founded Magnolia Rise Co., a Latina-owned practice dedicated to helping schools strengthen school climate, connection, and student well-being. Through SEL instruction, restorative practices, and wellness-centered programming, she partners with schools and districts to create supportive environments where all students can grow and succeed.
At her core, Leslie believes that when students are supported from the roots up, stronger school communities follow.
Connect with Magnolia Rise Co. to explore customized SEL and wellness support designed to strengthen student well-being, engagement, and school climate.
