Owner & Founder, Magnolia Rise Co.
Leslie is a Social Worker with over a decade of experience in child welfare, school-based counseling, and psychotherapy. Raised in a single-parent immigrant household as the youngest of six, she learned early how environment shapes opportunity; lessons that continue to guide her work with youth and schools today.
She earned her B.A. in Human Development from California State University, Long Beach, and later her Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Her school-based training includes PBIS, SEL, Restorative Practices, and Boys Town’s Teaching Social Skills in Schools, all of which strengthen her trauma-informed, healing-centered approach.
Leslie’s greatest motivation comes from her lived experience as a single mother supporting her neurodivergent child through social-emotional challenges and profound grief. Even as a parent, she witnessed how difficult it can be to access meaningful emotional support; underscoring the need for more compassionate, responsive systems in schools.
Guided by both her personal journey and professional expertise, Leslie founded Magnolia Rise Co., a Latina-owned practice dedicated to helping schools build resilient, connected, and emotionally supportive communities. Through trauma-informed SEL education, restorative practices, and holistic wellness frameworks, she partners with districts and non-public schools to strengthen schoolwide mental health systems so every student feels seen, valued, and supported.
At her core, Leslie believes that when we nurture emotional wellness from the roots up, entire communities can rise.
